Now the time has come from all your e-mails and phone calls when I have had the privilege to fully test and sit down for an extended listening session with friends to one of the best ever stereo amplifiers that Gryphon of Denmark have ever produced.

Connecting this statement amplifier up to my Martin Logan Odyssey Loudspeakers which have two 10" woofers in addition to a full size electrostatic panel per side would require some serious horsepower to drive. The bass extension and authority of this amplifier is most impressive. At any volume the effortless dynamics and depth of soundstage can be appreciated with all styles of music. The low frequency overwhelmed my smallish listening room to such a degree I was now hearing low bass detail and harmonics they simply were not there with less revealing amplifiers.

Very rare is this much sort after but seldom found combination of speed, dynamics and width, without the normal compromises in texture and smoothness. Such is the reason why for decades Gryphon products are so highly regarded Worldwide. If you have never experienced the Gryphon sound in real life, the new owner is in for a real system awakening like they have never heard before.

This unit makes for a great foundation for any high powered system and sounds excellent from my testing with many vacuum tube Pre-Amplifiers. Being open and dynamic lends itself to being very tuneable with a good quality vacuum tube Pre-Amplifier in front of it. Of course the shy is the limit with how far you can go with a well matching combination.

Read some of the reviews online and information that is out there, what they say about this masterpiece is very accurate. From my testing it is everything they say it is and much more. Don't let this rare unit which is priced to sell at $2,000.00 under it's official Bluebook market value slip away.

The Gryphon Encore offers an astounding power output conservatively rated at 500 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms and doubling effortlessly to 1,000 Watts into a 4 Ohm load.

The Gryphon Encore has ample power to breathe life into even the most inefficient or reactive loudspeaker load.

Each channel of amplification consists of dual bridge rectifiers and 20 capacitors for a total of 80,000 microFarad per channel.

The loudspeaker terminals are gold plated, capable of accepting large diameter bare wire, banana plugs or spade lugs.

The strict dual mono configuration for infinite channel separation extends even to the presence of separate AC power cords for each channel.

Both, Balanced & Single Ended Inputs are offered.

The only cosmetic flaw. The positive connector on the right channel's plastic protector is damaged.

Will not affect the sound quality or function but must be noted.
