Essential for all bookshelf sized loudspeakers is high quality specially
designed & engineered stands. For a loudspeaker to produce dynamics,
soundstage, depth and imaging to their full potential they must be
securely anchored to the floor in your listening room. In a
floor standing loudspeaker this task is automatically taken care of by
the spikes on the base plate but for a bookshelf loudspeaker there are
special considerations that must be addressed.
For
any loudspeaker to sound it's best, the tweeter's position must be level
with the listener's ear when they are seated in their listening chair
because high frequency sound waves are very directional and do not
respond well when off axis. Therefore stands are required to lift,
anchor and securely support a bookshelf loudspeaker. If bookshelf
loudspeakers are placed on the floor as much as 75% of their maximum
potential is lost. Do not let your systems performance to be compromised
for such a modest investment.
