What Interconnects To Use?

Here is where it gets interesting. While most customers worry about the quality of individual components I have seen some skimp on the cables that connect them together. Ever heard the saying, 'a system is only as strong as it's weakest link'....? Well here is a prime example....

Now the more astute among us realize that the interconnect and loudspeaker cable industry to be one of the more dubious when it comes to far fetched claims of grandeur. Some regularly even making more promises than politicians in an election year!

Now this does not mean to say that all are bogus and that there is no advantages or improvements to be found in good quality cables, but let the consumer beware of high priced hoaxes thinly guised as the next best thing that will transform a poor sounding system.

They can help fine tune the sound quality after the system is constructed with well matching components but should not be relied upon to 'fix' inherent problems caused by poor set-up or low equipment quality.

What should one look for when it comes to interconnects? Well I would advocate that the interconnects should be well shielded from external electrical interference. We recommend double shielded 9mm Neotech interconnects that provide substantial real world improvements for a modest price. They also feature a 'lockable' outer jacket that prevents accidental slippage.

I have had customers about to replace a component try a set of these Neotech 9mm interconnects in their system and have been so happy with the difference they have decided to keep what they have. You do not have to pay a fortune for quality like this and most lengths under about 2 meters should not cost anymore than $550.00. If they do then I would suggest you look elsewhere.
